Can you guess my current theatre gig?

I’m back, y’all! This summer was chock full of learning experiences and stories, and I promise you that at least some of them will show up on this blog in the near future! I picked up my piano, my books, and my sewing machine and moved to Washington to explore the Pacific Northwest theatre scene.

And yes, I’m costuming another show.

I’m working on Tartuffe: Born Again, an adaptation of Moliere’s classic farce set in…you guessed it…the 1980s, where Tartuffe takes on the role of a televangelist in Baton Rouge.

The costume design goes to all realms of the 1980s. We got punks, we got power suits, we got preppy, and we got perms! It’s been a while since I’ve done this extensive of costume research, and it’s like going on a treasure hunt. When you find THE piece that matches the character and the period — *chef’s kiss*
